Wall Mounted

The series of wall mounted sculptures continue the exploration of themes originally developed in the Brut series of work. The sculptures are constructed using a slab building technique that are finished by brushing on dry, matt glazes. Once completed, the combination of the slab construction and the painterly texture of the glazes results in bold geometric forms that invoke a materiality commonly associated with concrete. The sculptures are stand alone wall mounted pieces that can also be reimagined as either a vase or planter.
